For the purpose of contributing to the solidarity efforts of Lawyers Without Borders Canada (LWBC), every individual or organization is invited to become a member or make a donation to the organization.
Since 2008, the annual fundraising campaign of LWBC leads up to a benefit show in which lawyers, judges and jurists take the stage and volunteer artistic performances for the cause. The funds raised in this event finance LWBC's mission of justice and international cooperation.
After three resounding successes at Club Soda in Montréal, in 2008, 2009 and 2011, and at the Impérial in Quebec city in 2010, the fifth edition of the benefit program took place at the Capitol in Quebec City, with the distinguished presence of Bertrand St-Arnaud, Minister of Justice of Quebec. The show exceeded all expectations: around 30 volunteer artists – judges, lawyers and other colleagues and friends of LWBC – performed their heart out before a crowd of 350 people, allowing LWBC to raise more than $150,000.
